This Saturday Bob Halperin will be performing in the the War Memorial Bandstand on Main Street in downtown Newmarket for the second time this season in the Main Street Music Serenade Series.
Bob Halperin has been developing his mastery of the blues and roots music since the early seventies. He has toured in Belgium and was a member of the legendary seacoast group "Homeless Bob and the Living Room Gypsies" in the 1980s. He has led his own electric blues band and worked extensively as a solo acoustic blues performer and as a supporting performer with others. He was the featured soloist with the Zydeco Band "Little Anne and Hot Cayenne" Besides doing his own solo performances Bob is also a member of the Group "Wooden Eye". The Main Street Music Serenade Series is sponsored by Lamprey Arts & Culture Alliance (LACA) and We Dig Newmarket. From 11 to 2 on Saturdays music will be heard drifting down Main as errands are run and breakfast is eaten.
