Live Music at the Newmarket Farmers' Market this Saturday 9/19

The Bob Band is comprised of four long-time fans of living legend Bob Dylan who recreate the vibe and the spirit of America's greatest singer/songwriter. Not a tribute band or a cheesy impersonation, but a faithful musical romp through the amazing Dylan catalog and all its genres - rock, blues, country, even gospel. The Bob Band is Dennis Bailey - guitar, lead vocals, harmonica; Roy Fox - lead guitar and lap steel guitar; Mary Maravic - upright bass; and Bryan Blitchfield - drums and vocals. For more information, contact Mary. (photo above by Pat Goeters)The Johnnies play classic, straightforward acoustic music. Born from evenings in living rooms surrounded by good friends and good beer, The Johnnies aim to preserve this mood of plain old good times in their performances and recordings. They are Leslie Alan Coates - strings, singing; Christopher Anthony Cote - strings, singing; Erich Bruning - bass; Brian Emond - strings. Contact Leslie for more information. The drumming students of Studio Kereya will be performing drumming pieces. Carl Nickerson teaches West African style drumming, djembe and dunun classes in Seacoast New Hampshire and southern Maine. His students explore the music and culture of West Africa, specifically of the Malinke people. Carl has been performing on the djembe for nine years in the band Fote as well as a percussionist in various projects and recordings in the seacoast area. For more information, contact Carl.

All the above musicians will be performing for market goers on September 19th.
