The Bob Band is comprised of four long-time fans of living legend Bob Dylan who recreate the vibe and the spirit of America's greatest singer/songwriter. Not a tribute band or a cheesy impersonation, but a faithful musical romp through the amazing Dylan catalog and all its genres - rock, blues, country, even gospel. Carl Nickerson teaches West African style drumming, djembe and dunun classes in Seacoast New Hampshire and southern Maine. His students explore the music and culture of West Africa, specifically of the Malinke people. Carl has been performing on the djembe for nine years in the band Fote as well as a percussionist in various projects and recordings in the seacoast area. For more information, contact Carl.
All the above musicians will be performing for market goers on September 19th. The Newmarket Farmers' Market is open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Stone Church parking lot through October 10th. The weekly vendors offer fresh and organic food choices.
